Halloween 2011 !!!

Laura Oliva Murphy, 1º B Ed. Infantil

Last Friday 28th of October 2011, we celebrated Halloween at our Secondary School.
The students from “Early Childhood Education” decided to organise a performance about this topic.
We had spent a few days before making and preparing all the decoration: bats, pumpkins, black cats, spiders, ghosts, witches… and on the 28th , early in the morning, we started decorating the school halls.
During the second break, all our Zombies, mad girls, mummies, witches, ghosts… invaded the halls to frighten the kids and the teachers around the school.
After having a great time with everyone, and once “no one was left alive” at the school halls, the dead ones met at the multipurpose room and began the ritual.
First of all, two zombies started telling us Halloween’s Origin, then the spider pumpkin told us a Halloween story adapted for kids and we ended the performance with our Galician girl, spelling “la Queimada” a Galician ritual.

Cheers, see you all next year.
